National Parks Service, Philadelphia sued over fall on Ghost Tour

PHILADELPHIA - A man who hurt his left shoulder on a fall during a Philadelphia Ghost Tour has sued both the city and the National Parks Service.

A lawsuit was filed March 19 in federal court by Dean Villanova against the United States of America Department of Interior National Park Service, City of Philadelphia, and Ghost Tours Philadelphia, LLC. 

The plaintiff, Dean Villanova, is a resident of Montgomery County. He says he was taking a Ghost Tour on April 15, 2022, but he suffered injuries while walking on Walnut Street.

He says he tripped over pushed up roots and missing, loose and raised bricks on the sidewalk.

The complaint alleges he damaged his left shoulder to the point it required surgery. His lawyer is Jerry Lyons of Chaiken, Lyons & Gaynier.
