Rhonda Wright, represented by attorney Piayon Lassanah of Kannah & Lassanah LLC, has filed a lawsuit against Trinity Health Mid Atlantic Medical Group d/b/a Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, Statesman Health and Rehabilitation Center, LLC, Saber Healthcare Group, Saber Healthcare Holdings, LLC, Delaware County and John/Jane Does 1 through 10. The case was filed in the Court of Common Pleas with no case ID provided and the date is unspecified.

Wright alleges that these entities were negligent in their care of her while she was hospitalized with COVID-19 symptoms and respiratory distress. She claims that from January 19 to March 25, 2022, she suffered numerous complications including dislodgment of her tracheostomy tube which led to lung collapse and increased hypertension. Her attorney states that due to lack of information prior to discovery, they cannot identify specific individuals responsible for these alleged failures in care.

The plaintiff seeks damages for her injuries and complaints which she asserts occurred largely in Delaware County where most of her care was provided. The defendants are accused of failing to provide adequate medical supplies and equipment, accident investigation and prevention measures as well as appropriate communication with attending physicians.
