PITTSBURGH - A woman says a plumbing snake went haywire, causing her to fall and leading to her lawsuit against a plumbing company.

Dolores Macellaro filed a lawsuit his month in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas against Ken Pastore Plumbing, alleging that on Sept. 27, 2022, while working as a dietary aide at Overlook Green Senior Living Center, Macellaro was injured.

According to the filing, the defendant's use of a plumbing snake in the kitchen area caused it to move erratically and strike Macellaro's left ankle, leading her to lose balance and sustain injuries.

The plaintiff claims that Ken Pastore Plumbing failed to warn her about the dangers posed by the plumbing snake and did not take necessary precautions to ensure safety.

The lawsuit alleges multiple counts of negligence including improper operation of equipment and failure to provide adequate warnings or barriers. As a result of these alleged failures, Macellaro sustained severe injuries to her left ankle and knee, which may be permanent.

Macellaro is represented by attorneys Gary J. Ogg and David Kennedy Houck from Ogg, Murphy & Perkosky, P.C.
