Kelly Kindig will present “The Latest in Labor: Everything You Need to Know About the NLRB But Wish You Didn’t” at the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel 2024 Employment & Labor CLE Institute. Kelly will discuss the latest NLRB developments and stats, the Cemex decision and its effect on election procedures and timelines, and the status of recent board rulemaking regarding independent contractors, joint employers, and handbook policies. She will also cover remedies under the NLRA and the definition of protected concerted activity. Additionally, the panel will look at the future labor landscape and how upcoming events could impact employers, covering potential changes due to the upcoming presidential election, increased court scrutiny as to the level of deference to be afforded to the NLRB, and challenges to the constitutionality of the NLRB.
