A recent court filing in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, alleges severe negligence on the part of a healthcare provider and its associated entities, resulting in significant injuries to a local resident. Leonard Quigley filed the complaint on June 14, 2024, against Main Line HealthCare Primary Care in Aston and WP Aston, LLC.

According to the complaint, Leonard Quigley was visiting the premises of Main Line HealthCare Primary Care in Aston on January 16, 2024, when he slipped and fell on an icy sidewalk. The lawsuit claims that both Main Line HealthCare and WP Aston failed to maintain safe conditions on their property. The plaintiff's attorney, Shawn A. Ricci from Morgan & Morgan PLLC, asserts that the defendants neglected their duty to ensure safe passage for visitors by not adequately inspecting or addressing hazardous conditions such as ice and snow accumulation.

Quigley's complaint outlines numerous allegations against the defendants. These include failing to exercise proper care over the sidewalk area, neglecting timely inspections and maintenance, not removing dangerous conditions like ice and snow promptly, and failing to warn visitors about these hazards. "As a direct and proximate result of Main Line HealthCare’s negligent conduct," states the complaint, "Plaintiff sustained serious and permanent personal injuries." These injuries reportedly include brain injury, concussion, post-concussion syndrome, head laceration requiring stitches and staples, permanent scarring, and a need for ongoing physical and cognitive rehabilitation.

The lawsuit further details how these injuries have caused Quigley immense pain and suffering. He has experienced emotional distress alongside his physical injuries and faces a diminished quality of life with an inability to engage in daily activities. The plaintiff is seeking judgment against both Main Line HealthCare Primary Care in Aston and WP Aston for an amount exceeding $50,000 plus interest and reasonable costs.

The case is being overseen by attorneys from Morgan & Morgan PLLC with Shawn A. Ricci representing Leonard Quigley. The filing is registered under Case No: [Case ID] in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County.
