PHILADELPHIA - A Washington company says solar-powered lanterns that infringe on its patent are being sold on QVC, harming its business.

Allsop, Inc., a Washington-based corporation, filed a lawsuit June 10 in Philadelphia federal court against QVC, Inc.

The complaint alleges that QVC has infringed on three of Allsop's patents related to solar-powered collapsible lanterns. Allsop claims that QVC's "Garden Reflections Round Solar Hanging Lantern" and potentially other models infringe on their patents by incorporating similar structural and functional elements.

Allsop is seeking damages, attorney’s fees, and an injunction to prevent further sales of the allegedly infringing products.

Michael Luongo of High Swartz in Doylestown represents the plaintiff.
