The Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section is excited to return to the beautiful Chesapeake Bay area for the Family Law Section Summer Meeting from July 11th to July 14th.

The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina is located in Cambridge, Maryland on the shore of the Choptank River. With something for everyone to enjoy, we look forward to welcoming colleagues, families and friends for an outstanding conference. The resort has a wonderful spa and multiple swimming pools including one with a waterslide for the kids and the kids at heart! Golf is available close by. The historic towns of St. Michaels and Easton are also both just a short drive away for those who wish to explore the area. The meeting will begin on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with a program presented by the Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers titled, “Custody on the Cusp.” Later that evening, we will host a Welcome Party reception where we will all have a chance connect and enjoy the beauty of the resort. On Friday evening, after enjoying dinner on your own, please join us for a Dessert Hospitality to cap off the night. Finally, on Saturday night we will have one last opportunity to socialize at our Farewell Reception. While there will certainly be plenty of time to mingle and catch up with friends, the Programming Committee has designed a slate of programs that you will not want to miss. We will start with a plenary session on Friday morning titled, “Demystifying AI” to educate us all on this cutting-edge topic. The plenary session will be followed by two workshops, the first focusing on how to be a great second chair and the second focusing on family law and real estate issues. On Saturday, our plenary session will be an appellate primer with judges from different levels of our bench. We will conclude the day with two workshops, one focused on parental alienation and the other on the intersection of family law and trusts and estates. Before everyone departs on Sunday, we will have our case law and legislative updates program over breakfast. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated PBA staff and all of our committee chairs and members. I am appreciative of all your hard work and dedication to put together a fabulous meeting with educational and enjoyable activities for all. I look forward to seeing you and your families in July!
