A business invitee has filed a lawsuit against a local inn and its management company, alleging negligence that led to serious injuries. The complaint was filed by Tahari Wright in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County on August 10, 2022, naming Parkway Inn and Pramukh Swami Maharaj LLC as defendants.

According to the court documents, Tahari Wright was injured due to an improperly installed metal bedframe at the Parkway Inn located at 675 Baltimore Pike, Springfield, Pennsylvania. The complaint details that a piece of metal extended from the bedframe, creating a hazardous condition. Wright alleges that this dangerous condition was known or should have been known by the defendants and that they failed in their duty to maintain safe premises for business invitees.

The plaintiff claims that on August 10, 2022, while staying at the inn, she suffered a puncture wound on her right foot along with sprains and strains to her right ankle and foot. These injuries have caused her significant pain and suffering, both physically and mentally. Wright further contends that these injuries have resulted in substantial medical expenses and loss of earnings due to impairment of her earning capacity.

Wright's complaint outlines several specific accusations against the defendants including failing to inspect and maintain the bedframe properly, not providing adequate warnings about the defective condition, and allowing such a hazardous situation to persist for an unreasonable length of time. She also accuses them of failing to hire competent contractors or sub-contractors who could have addressed these issues adequately.

The plaintiff is seeking damages not exceeding arbitration limits along with interest and costs. The relief sought includes compensation for medical expenses incurred as well as future medical costs related to her injuries. Additionally, she seeks damages for lost earnings and potential future earnings impairment due to her physical condition post-accident.

Representing Tahari Wright is attorney Andrew C. Smialowicz from Clearfield & Kofsky law firm.
