Nicole Aiken-Shaban named to Trailblazers in Health Care listing

Nicole Aiken-Shaban, a Philadelphia-based partner who is focused on health care regulatory matters and transactions at global law firm Reed Smith, has been named to City & State Pennsylvania's inaugural Trailblazers in Health Care 2024 listing.

Aiken-Shaban is an experienced health care regulatory lawyer who regularly advises clients on state and federal fraud and abuse laws, including the Stark Law, federal Anti-Kickback Statute, and beneficiary inducement prohibitions, and assists clients in structuring complex transactions and contractual arrangements to comply with those laws.

She also uses her regulatory experience to assist clients in the prevention and defense of government investigations, audits, False Claims Act litigation and in conducting internal compliance assessments.

Aiken-Shaban serves on the Executive Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Business Law Section and is co-chair of the Business Law Section’s Healthcare Law Committee. She is also active in pro bono matters and in supporting nonprofit organizations in the Philadelphia region.
