Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Angie Cavallo, the firm’s director of diversity, equity and inclusion, has been selected as a 2024 LGBTQ+ Power Player by Metro Philadelphia. The list honors LGBTQ+ leaders who are driving inclusivity and promoting a culture of celebration in Philadelphia by creating innovative programs, policies and opportunities for the LGBTQ+ community. These trailblazers also provide valuable insights into becoming effective allies and contributing to meaningful transformation.

"We congratulate Angie for receiving this recognition,” said Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer and Principal Kimya S.P. Johnson. “Her efforts are not just about compliance or programming, but rather fostering genuine connections, understanding and respect across all levels of our organization so all may succeed. This award is a fitting tribute to her dedication and the impact she has made across the legal industry.”

Angie helps lead the firm’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs and initiatives. She is a licensed attorney with more than a decade of litigation experience, including a previous role as partner at a firm where she practiced complex family formation law and supported the many other legal needs of the LGBTQ+ community. Angie was also an adjunct law professor at Rutgers Law School and has held various leadership and mentoring positions in the DEI legal sector.

"I am incredibly honored to be recognized as an LGBTQ+ Power Player,” said Angie.  “At Jackson Lewis, our commitment to DEI is central to everything we do, and I’m proud to be part of a team that strives to create a workplace where everyone feels a true sense of belonging and is empowered to live authentically, including those in the LGBTQ+ community.”

Among other roles, Angie is a member of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association's LGBT Rights Section, the Philadelphia LGBTQ+ Bar Association and the Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals. She also serves on the board of Philadelphia Diversity Law Group.
