A recent court filing has brought to light a serious allegation of negligence leading to significant injuries. On August 12, 2004, Joan Kumar filed a complaint in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas against Kevin Anthony Bongiorno, the executor of the estate of Bruno Bruni.

According to the complaint, on September 24, 2022, Joan Kumar was exiting her apartment at 2237 Chichester Avenue in Boothwyn, Delaware County, Pennsylvania when she fell due to a defect on the property. The plaintiff alleges that Bruno Bruni, now deceased and represented by Kevin Anthony Bongiorno as executor of his estate, was negligent in maintaining the premises. The complaint states that Bruni failed to inspect the property adequately and did not warn Kumar about the dangerous condition that led to her fall.

The lawsuit outlines several accusations against Bruni's estate: maintaining a hazardous condition on the premises, failing to ensure pedestrian safety through proper inspections, neglecting to warn about dangers present on the property, and generally failing to exercise due care under the circumstances. As a result of this alleged negligence, Kumar sustained severe injuries including damage to her left ankle, left hip, back, and head. She also suffered from a severe concussion and shock to her nervous system. These injuries have caused her great physical pain and mental anguish and have impeded her ability to perform daily activities.

Kumar's complaint details ongoing medical expenses incurred as she seeks treatment for her injuries. She claims these financial burdens will continue into the future due to the permanent nature of some of her injuries. Consequently, she is seeking judgment against Bongiorno in excess of $50,000 for damages related to medical expenses and personal suffering.

Representing Joan Kumar is Lawrence G. Metzger from Metzger & Kleiner law firm.
