Anthony Wright has filed a lawsuit against several hotel entities, alleging negligence that resulted in severe injuries. The complaint was lodged on September 24, 2024, in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, targeting Ellis Hotel, LP, Ellis Hotel GP, LLC, Elite Hotel GP, LLC, and unnamed John Doe Corporations.

The case revolves around an incident on October 24, 2022, when Anthony Wright was staying at the Hilton Garden Inn located at 3743 West Chester Pike in Newtown Square. According to the complaint, while using the bathroom facilities in room 103 of the hotel, a safety bar detached from the wall causing Wright to fall and sustain serious injuries to his hands and fingers. The lawsuit claims that there were no warnings about the defective condition of the safety bar which posed a significant risk to guests. Wright asserts that this dangerous condition existed due to the defendants' failure to maintain safe premises for their patrons.

Wright's legal representation argues that the defendants had either actual or constructive knowledge of this hazardous condition but failed to take appropriate action to rectify it or warn guests. The complaint accuses them of negligence by not inspecting or repairing the defective safety bar despite being aware of its potential danger. It further alleges that these actions or lack thereof were substantial factors contributing to Wright's injuries.

As a result of this alleged negligence, Wright claims he has suffered chronic pain and permanent injuries which have impaired his bodily functions. He is seeking compensation for medical expenses incurred as well as future costs related to ongoing treatment and rehabilitation. Additionally, he seeks damages for lost wages and diminished earning capacity resulting from his inability to work due to his injuries. The complaint also highlights emotional distress and loss of enjoyment of life caused by the incident.

Wright demands judgment against all defendants jointly and severally for an amount exceeding $50,000 plus interest and other associated costs. His attorney Justin M. Bernstein from Kenneth R. Schuster & Associates is handling the case.

The Case ID is: NO:. This civil action is set for a jury trial where twelve jurors will be demanded.
