On January 3, 2025, a lawsuit was filed in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County by Tahari Wright against Colonial Kitchen Restaurant Inc., its operators Georgia and Vasilios Felfels, and two unidentified individuals. The case centers around a slip-and-fall incident that occurred on January 9, 2023, at the Colonial Kitchen located in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania.

Tahari Wright alleges that she suffered significant injuries due to the negligence of the defendants. According to the complaint, an uneven and improperly installed metal plate on the premises led to her fall. Wright claims that this dangerous condition was known or should have been known by the defendants through reasonable care. She accuses them of failing to maintain safe conditions for business invitees and neglecting to provide adequate warnings about potential hazards.

The lawsuit outlines several counts of negligence against the defendants. It asserts that they allowed a hazardous condition to persist without inspection or remediation, failed to warn patrons of potential risks, and neglected their duty to ensure safe passageways. The complaint states: "Defendants knew or should have known of the existence of said dangerous condition," highlighting their alleged failure in duty of care.

Wright's injuries from the fall include lumbar and left hip sprains, which have caused her considerable pain and suffering. The complaint details how these injuries have resulted in medical expenses, loss of earnings, and impairment of her ability to perform customary activities. Wright is seeking damages not exceeding arbitration limits along with interest and costs from all named defendants.

Represented by attorney Adam E. Grutzmacher from Clearfield & Kofsky law firm, Wright demands accountability for what she describes as negligence per se among other failures by Colonial Kitchen and its operators. The case ID is: CV2025000118.
