For this week’s Community Involvement Spotlight, we recognize Dan Taroli’s service with the Eastern Pennsylvania Coalition for Abandoned Mine Reclamation (EPCAMR) and the important work that EPCAMR does to improve the environment and economy of our region.
EPCAMR is dedicated to the reclamation of abandoned mine lands for productive uses in the region, thereby improving the economy. Through their work, they reduce health and safety hazards, eliminate soil erosion, and improve water quality.
EPCAMR represents a coalition of watershed organizations and reclamation partners who seek to educate, inform and involve the public on mine reclamation issues. Dan currently serves as a Member of EPCAMR’s Board of Directors, alongside individuals from a wide variety of industries.
