Ryan J. Cassidy, a Philadelphia-based Member with national law firm Eckert Seamans and Chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment practice group, has been appointed to the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, commencing April 1, 2025. The Disciplinary Board is comprised of 12 members statewide, appointed by the Supreme Court for a six-year term.

The Disciplinary Board was created to review conduct and assure compliance by attorneys to the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct, as well as assist the Supreme Court in the licensing and discipline of attorneys in Pennsylvania. Its mission is to protect the public, maintain a high standard of integrity in the legal profession, and safeguard the reputation of the courts of Pennsylvania. Disciplinary Board members meet regularly to decide cases, policies, and board administrative matters.
Cassidy is a member of Eckert Seamans’ Executive Committee and Board of Directors and Chairs the firmwide Labor & Employment practice group and Compensation Committee. He concentrates his practice exclusively on management-side labor and employment law in both the public and private sectors, including representing clients on state and federal administrative agency charges, grievance and interest arbitration issues, labor injunctions, and collective bargaining. Cassidy has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for Labor & Employment Litigation for the past six years. In addition to his legal career, he also previously served two consecutive three-year terms on the Disciplinary Board’s Hearing committee.
