Reed Smith today announced that partners Casey Ryan and Jason Hazlewood have been named to the Pittsburgh Power 100, a list published by the Pittsburgh Business Times of the region's most influential business leaders.

Ryan, the firm's global managing partner, and Hazlewood, the Pittsburgh office managing partner, are among the C-Suite leaders being recognized for their impact on their industries and the entire Pittsburgh region. The Pittsburgh Power 100 is presented by categories, such as C-Suite, Education, Health Care, Nonprofits and Technology.

Ryan became the first woman to serve as Reed Smith's global managing partner in 2023 and now oversees approximately 3,000 people, including more than 1,600 lawyers, across 30+ offices worldwide. She joined Reed Smith in 1996 and was steadily promoted to a series of leadership positions. Among her many roles with community and industry organizations, Ryan serves on the boards of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, Duquesne Club, and United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, and is a member of the advisory council of the Allegheny Health Network Cancer Institute.

Hazlewood has led Reed Smith's Pittsburgh office since 2021, joined the firm in 2006 and became partner 10 years later. He focuses his practice on complex commercial financial services litigation. He uses social media to not only celebrate Reed Smith’s accomplishments, but also to provide encouragement to young lawyers in the local community. He serves on the boards of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, Leadership Pittsburgh Inc., The Advanced Leadership Institute and the BEAM Collaborative.
