American States Insurance Company has filed a lawsuit against a local auto repair business and an individual, seeking compensation for damages following a vehicular accident. The complaint was lodged by American States Insurance Co. on February 28, 2025, in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas against GAR KG Auto Repair LLC and Naizier Griffin-Holt.

The case stems from an incident that occurred on March 29, 2024, when Ross Browne's vehicle, insured by American States Insurance Co., was involved in an accident with a vehicle owned by GAR KG Auto Repair LLC and driven by Naizier Griffin-Holt. The collision took place at Haverford Road and Lorraine Avenue in Haverford Township, Pennsylvania. According to the complaint, the accident resulted from negligence on the part of the defendants. The insurance company claims that Griffin-Holt failed to maintain proper lookout, yield right of way, keep assured clear distance, obey traffic rules, operate at a reasonable speed, apply brakes properly, maintain control of the vehicle, and negligently entrusted their vehicle to someone deemed incompetent to drive.

The plaintiff argues that due to these alleged failures and negligence by both defendants—acting in agency relationship with each other—their insured suffered property damage amounting to $22,575.84. American States Insurance Co., having compensated its insured under their policy agreement for these damages, is now subrogating against GAR KG Auto Repair LLC and Naizier Griffin-Holt for reimbursement.

In their filing, American States Insurance Co. demands judgment against both defendants jointly and severally for the full amount of $22,575.84 plus interest and costs incurred as a result of this incident. This legal action seeks not only financial recovery but also serves as a cautionary tale about ensuring proper conduct and responsibility while operating vehicles.

Representing American States Insurance Co., attorney Douglas G. Aaron from Aaron & Prince law firm has filed this civil action case identified under docket number CV2025001821.
