A legal battle has emerged over a personal injury claim involving a guest at an apartment complex. Alec’Zander Wood filed a complaint on April 2, 2025, in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, against MacDade Apartments, LLC, doing business as The Crossings at Elmwood. Wood alleges negligence after suffering injuries from a fall in the apartment's laundry room.

The incident occurred on June 8, 2023, when Wood was visiting the premises as a lawful invitee. According to the complaint, he slipped and fell due to water and debris that had accumulated on the floor of the laundry room. The plaintiff asserts that these hazardous conditions were not visible or marked with any warnings for guests like himself. "Defendants created, caused, and permitted a dangerous condition to exist upon the Premises," states the complaint. Wood accuses MacDade Apartments and other unnamed entities referred to as ABC Corporations 1-20 of failing to maintain safe conditions by neglecting necessary inspections and warnings about potential dangers.

Wood claims that his injuries have led to significant physical and financial burdens. He alleges that due to this negligence, he has suffered permanent injuries which have hindered his ability to perform daily activities and work duties. Furthermore, he expects ongoing expenses related to medical treatment and household help because of his condition. The lawsuit seeks damages exceeding $50,000 for each count of negligence against both MacDade Apartments and the fictitious entities involved.

In addition to monetary compensation for medical expenses and loss of earnings capacity, Wood is seeking relief for emotional distress caused by the incident. The complaint details how this event has resulted in anxiety and depression affecting his quality of life. Through his attorney Erin Pine from Ostroff | Godshall - Injury and Accident Lawyers based in Blue Bell, PA, Wood is demanding accountability from those responsible for maintaining safety standards at the property.

The case is presided over by Judge Erin Pine under Case ID CV2025003038., with legal representation provided by Erin Pine from Ostroff | Godshall - Injury and Accident Lawyers.
