Troutman Pepper Locke partner Mateusz K. Saykiewicz has been appointed as an Honorary Consul for the Republic of Poland, joining a prestigious group of official representatives chosen by the Polish government to protect the rights and interests of Polish citizens in the U.S.
In his role as Honorary Consul, Saykiewicz will undertake several important duties that are pivotal in strengthening the ties between Poland and the U.S. Representatives are tasked with promoting bilateral relations through cultural, economic, and educational exchanges by supporting Polish nationals in the U.S. with legal and administrative guidance. They also serve as cultural ambassadors, organizing events and activities that showcase Polish traditions and values. Honorary Consuls also assist Polish businesses in expanding their operations in the U.S., fostering economic growth and collaboration between the two countries.
As a partner in the firm’s Health Care and Life Sciences Transactional Practice Group, Saykiewicz devotes his practice to advising health care and life sciences clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, capital markets, and other transactional matters, including commercial agreements, internal restructurings, and corporate governance. He regularly represents companies across the health care, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food and beverage, and water treatment sectors.
