The combined department, which is chaired by Post & Schell principal Don N. Camhi, will now consist of more than 20 lawyers thanks to the addition of the four new attorneys from the Bala Cynwyd firm.
“This is a strategic addition to what is already one of the strongest professional liability departments in the Commonwealth,” Brian M. Peters, president and chief executive officer of Post & Schell, said in a statement.
“The critical intersection of quality care and patient safety with stringent reimbursement regulations, the federal False Claims Act and the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, and the ever-increasing employment of individual providers by health care enterprises, all create an imperative that health care providers receive and benefit from sophisticated multi-disciplinary, and collaborative legal and regulatory counseling and defense litigation, trial and appellate expertise and experience.”
Peters went on to state that the attorneys and clients of both Post & Schell and Galli and Reilly would benefit from the “extensive collaborative and multi-disciplinary culture” practiced by his firm and its nationally recognized Health Law, Employment, White Collar & Internal Investigations, Antitrust, and Appellate Law Practice Groups.
In her own statement, Mary Ellen Reilly said that she and the other three attorneys from Galli and Reilly decided to join forces with Post & Schell because of the latter’s “industry-centric national focus, strategic practice diversification, and visionary and innovative management.
“We have watched the continued development of the Firm into a provider of sophisticated legal services and continue to be very impressed by its strategic growth, diversification and management,” Reilly stated.
