Alexis Tuohey has filed a civil lawsuit in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas against Lauren Oaster, Steven Andrews, and several unidentified parties. The complaint, filed on March 11, 2025, accuses the defendants of negligence that resulted in a severe injury to Tuohey when a deck collapsed at a property they were responsible for maintaining.

According to the complaint, Alexis Tuohey was injured on July 3, 2024, while standing on a deck at 12 South Woodland Avenue in Glenolden, Pennsylvania. The deck suddenly collapsed due to what is alleged as a dangerous and defective condition. Tuohey asserts that the defendants—Lauren Oaster and Steven Andrews—along with unnamed individuals or entities referred to as John Does I-VI, had control over the premises and failed in their duty to maintain it safely. The plaintiff claims that the defendants either knew or should have known about the hazardous condition of the deck but neglected to take appropriate action.

The legal document details several accusations against the defendants. These include failing to maintain and inspect the premises adequately, not warning visitors about potential dangers, neglecting necessary repairs, and allowing defects to persist. It also highlights a failure in supervision regarding those tasked with maintaining the property. As a result of these alleged failures, Tuohey suffered significant injuries including damage to her foot, ankle, wrist, and nervous system shock. The complaint suggests these injuries may be permanent and have already caused considerable pain and suffering.

Tuohey is seeking judgment against all named defendants for an amount exceeding both arbitration limits and federal jurisdictional thresholds for diversity cases. This includes compensation for medical expenses incurred from treating her injuries and financial losses due to her inability to perform usual duties or activities since the accident.

The case is represented by Jeffrey M. Rosenbaum of Rosenbaum & Associates P.C., located in Philadelphia. No specific judge has been assigned yet according to available documents under Case ID: CV2025002092.
