Woman thrown from trolley sues SEPTA

Marc f. greenfield

A Delaware County woman says the careless operation of a trolley by a SEPTA employee

caused her to fall from the moving vehicle last year.

According to a complaint filed by Geraldine Snipes of Yeadon at the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas on May 1, the incident injured her knee, affecting her ability to maintain an income and incur high medical bills.

The complaint says in March 2013, Snipes was riding on the trolley near 64th and Kingsessing Ave. in Philadelphia, when the driver unexpectedly moved the trolley, throwing Snipes from the vehicle.

Snipes is seeking a maximum of $50,000. She is represented by Marc Greenfield of Spear, Greenfield & Richman.

The case file ID number is 140404215
