An Afghanistan-based medical supplies company is suing a Lancaster County contractor, alleging breach of contract in two agreements totaling more than $850,000.
Target Global Logistics Services in Kabul filed a lawsuit Sept. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against KVG, alleging breach of contract.
According to the complaint, on May 25, 2014, Target and KVG entered into a prime-subcontractor purchase agreement relating to the sale and delivery of medical supplies and equipment for $678,534.83. On June 14, 2014, they also entered into another prime-subcontractor purchase agreement for $179,136.48, the suit says.
Beginning Oct. 15, 2014, and thereafter, Target requested payment for services rendered, the lawsuit states, and, to date, Target has not been paid for either transaction.
The plaintiff alleges KVC is in possession of property belonging to them and despite repeated demands has not returned that property.
Target seeks a jury trial, general and consequential damages, pre-judgment and post-judgment interest as well as loss of specific professional opportunities and legal costs. It is represented by attorney Frank J. Santomauro of the Law Offices of Frank J. Santomauro in Scranton.
