Washington state business sues Bridge View Paper, alleging breach of contract

Contract

A Washington state company is suing Philadelphia paper business, alleging failure to pay invoices.

Radiant Global Logistics Inc. of Bellevue, Wash., filed a lawsuit Sept. 8 in U.S. District Court Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Bridge View Paper Co., alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Radiant provided shipping and related services to Bridge View from June 2014 to April 2015, and during one such agreement in August 2014, Radiant and its overseas partners would advance payment to service providers in Turkey and the United Kingdom for the consignee for demurrage/storage costs, customs clearance, duties/taxes port costs, and other charges incurred in moving the goods from ports. The suit says Bridge View was to reimburse Radiant for these costs.

The complaint alleges Radiant performed its obligations under the agreement, but Bridge View has failed to pay the invoices in the amount of $89,632.35.

Radiant seeks compensatory damages of $89,632.35, plus prejudgment interest, and attorney fees and costs. It is represented by attorney Jason A. Levine of Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller in Philadelphia.

U.S. District Court Eastern District of Pennsylvania case number 2:15-cv-05007-CDJ.
