A well-known photo editing software company is suing a Lansdale camera center over allegations that the business is selling counterfeit versions of its software.
Adobe Systems Inc. of San Jose, Calif. filed suit against the Cardinal Camera and Video Center of Lansdale in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, citing violations of federal trademark infringement, false designation of origin, trademark dilution, federal copyright infringement, unfair competition and unlawful/ unfair/fraudulent business practices.
The plaintiff alleges in its complaint that its investigators purchased counterfeit Adobe-branded Lightshop and Photoshop software products from the defendants through Amazon.com on May 6, 2014.
The plaintiff alleges the activities of the defendant are false and misleading and are destroying its valuable reputation. The plaintiff is seeking unspecified compensatory damages, punitive damages, attorney fees and costs of litigation.
