PHILADELPHIA—A Souderton woman is suing a health care provider alleging age discrimination.

According to the suit, Pilecki is 76 years old and was employed by Genesis Healthcare at Garden Spring Center in Willow Grove as a licensed practical charge nurse starting in June 2010. During her employment, Pilecki received positive reviews for her performance. In 2014, Pilecki began to receive discrimination based on her age, the suit says. She was referred to as an “old lady.” Pilecki claims when she filed a report about the remarks Genesis Healthcare responded with a vague disciplinary write-up. The defendant allegedly didn’t take any corrective actions on behalf of Pilecki. Eventually, Pilecki was terminated.

Pilecki is seeking no less than $150,000 for back wages, front pay, loss of health and retirement benefits, raises, bonuses, liquidated damages, and court costs. Michael Murphy and Murphy Law Group LLC in Philadelpha is representing Pilecki.
