PHILADELPHIA — A Pennsylvania man is part of a class action lawsuit against Sikorsky Aircraft, alleging it failed to properly compensate employees for hours worked.

Joshua Lane of Thorndale, on behalf of himself and all others similarly situated, filed a lawsuit July 23, in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation and Sikorsky Global Helicopters Inc., alleging violation of FLSA.

According to the complaint, Lane was hired in October 2012 as an avionics lead and was paid hourly for his work. The suit states Sikorsky would round up the time that employees punched in, up to 12 minutes worth of time, effectively stealing time from employees.

Additionally, the suit states that the plaintiff would regularly work an extra hour, although he never received overtime compensation and, furthermore, the defendant failed remedy the situation.

The plaintiffs seek damages for all unpaid wages, liquidated damages and awards they are entitled to, plus a jury trial. They are represented by attorneys Michael Murphy and Michael Groh of the Murphy Law Group LLC in Philadelphia.
