Walmart worker blames Paramount Realty Services for injuries in parking lot fall

PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia woman is suing a New Jersey company, alleging negligence for for injuries she says she sustained after falling in a parking lot pothole.

Pernell Goodwin-Jackson filed a lawsuit Feb. 16 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Paramount Realty Services Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the defendant is the owner and operator of The Northeast Tower Center at 4600 Roosevelt Blvd, Philadelphia. The suit says, on May 5, 2015,  Goodwin Jackson was exiting a Walmart Store on the defendant’s property and stepped into a pothole in the parking lot, causing her to fall and sustain severe injuries.

The plaintiff alleges her injuries resulted from the defendant’s negligence and failure to safely and properly maintain its premises, failure to warn the plaintiff of existing dangers, and failure to remove dangerous conditions on the property.

Goodwin-Jackson seeks damages of more than $75,000, costs of the action and damages for delay. She is represented by attorney Frank N. Dimeo Jr. of Rosen, Schafer & Dimeo LLP in Philadelphia.
