PHILADELPHIA — A New Jersey man is suing a Pennsylvania school district, alleging the defendant's negligence caused him to to fall injure himself on a loading dock.
Antonio Gonzalez filed a lawsuit Feb. 16 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Council Rock School District in Newtown, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on Feb. 21, 2014, Gonzalez was a business invitee at the defendant’s principal location, Holland Middle School, 400 E. Holland Road, Holland Pennsylvania, While on the premises, the suit says, the plaintiff slipped and fell due to hazardous conditions.
The suit says the fall led to serious injuries to his body and extremities that could be permanent
Gonzales states there existed a dangerous accumulation of snow and ice in ridges and elevations on a loading dock that caused him to fall and severely injure himself. The plaintiff alleges it was the defendant's obligation to maintain a safe environment and that their failure to do so constitutes willful negligence.
Gonzales seeks damages of more than $150,000 and a trial by jury. He is represented by attorney Frederic I. Weinberg of The Law Offices of Frederic I. Weinberg & Associates PC, in Conshoken, Pennsylvania.
