HARRISBURG — A New York woman is suing the owners of a Pennsylvania ropes course, alleging she was injured on the course.

Alina Sweret filed a lawsuit March 10 in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Pocono Tree Ventures and Bushkill Group, alleging negligence.

On Dec. 28, 2014, the suit states, Sweret was on the defendants' premises at 1575 Fairway Villas Blvd. in East Stroudsburg.

Sweret was allegedly given defective equipment at Pocono Tree Ventures, and, as a result, she suffered a crush injury to her middle and ring fingers on her left hand, bruises and contusions, great physical pain and anguish, a severe shock to her nervous system, humiliation, and embarrassment.

Sweret seeks a judgment over $150,000. She is represented by attorney Edwin A. Abrahamsen, Jr. of Abrahamsen Conaboy & Abrahamsen in Scranton.
