PITTSBURGH — The federal government is suing Kristie Wells, a Sykesville resident, citing alleged default in payment.
The United States of America filed a complaint on May 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Wells, alleging that the Sykesville resident allegedly failed to comply with a loan agreement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has suffered damages for not collecting a loan in the principal amount of $31,322.11, excluding interest. The plaintiff holds Wells responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay her indebtedness in the total amount of $34,632,70.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in its favor, and against the defendant in the amount of $34,632.70, plus prejudgement interest through the date of the judgement, all administrative costs, service of process costs, post-judgment interest until paid in full, attorneys' fees and any other such relief the court deems just and proper.
