Woman alleges telephone harassment

PHILADELPHIA — A woman is suing Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC, a Delaware company, citing alleged violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Real Estate Settlement and Procedures Act.

Michael Anne McAllister filed a complaint on May 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of

Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant called the plaintiff using an automatic dialing system.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was called hundreds or thousands of times on her cellular phone by an automated dialer without her consent. The plaintiff holds Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff in an attempt to collect an alleged delinquent mortgage loan debt despite her request to stop.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for actual and statutory damages and all court costs. She is represented by Joseph M. Adams of Law Offices of Joseph M. Adams in Chalfont.
