Man says disability benefits improperly denied

Insurance 10

PITTSBURGH — A man is suing Life Insurance Company of North America, doing business as Cigna Group Insurance, alleging he was improperly denied long-term disability benefits.

Mark Watson filed a complaint on May 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against the defendant, alleging that the insurance firm wrongly denied his disability benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he became fully disabled but was denied benefits. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because it allegedly denied his claim for disability benefits despite having adequate medical records to support his claim.

The plaintiff seeks payment of all benefits due and owing, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Francis M. Moore of Mansmann & Moore, LLP in Pittsburgh.
