Motorist files court claim against her insurer

PHILADELPHIA — A driver is suing Government Employees Insurance Company, her auto insurer, seeking payment of underinsured motorist coverage following a collision.

Elizabeth Silva filed a complaint on June 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendant, alleging that she is owed money.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 11, 2013, she sustained injuries and damages to her property when she was hit by underinsured motorist Tammy Dee Zukowski. The plaintiff was insured by defendant, and she seeks payment from her insurer for underinsured motorist coverage.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $75,000 plus court costs and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Marc I. Simon of Simon & Simon, P.C. in Philadelphia.
