Company says copyright infringement confuses customers

PHILADELPHIA — A Pennsylvania corporation is suing Enerlites, Inc., Touch Green Energy Inc. d/b/a Topgreener Electric Supply, Lidong Ni, and Xiaodan Zheng, citing alleged copyright infringement.

Lutron Electronics Co., Inc. filed a complaint on March 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they sell and distribute their products that are in a way that violates the plaintiff's copyright.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business as a result of a similarly packaged products, causing confusion to its customers. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly distribute their products in a way that misleads the plaintiff's customers into believing the products are similar.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $75,000 plus interest and court costs.
