Man says objects in business caused him to fall

Slip01

PENNSYLVANIA — A man is suing Love's Travel Shops & Country Stores Inc., alleging negligence and insufficient measures were taken to prevent him from falling.

Daniel Spisak filed a complaint on July 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendant, alleging that the business failed to keep its premises free of objects that could cause an accident.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 14, 2015, he sustained physical injuries when he tripped over a board and string. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because it allegedly allowed dangerous objects to lie around its premises, which caused the plaintiff to trip and fall.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court, delay damages, interest, and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Louis T. Silverman and Andrew J. Schneider of Silverman Trotman & Schneider, LLC in Philadelphia.
