Man claims debt collector violated law with calls

PITTSBURGH — An individual is suing Navient Solutions Inc., a debt collector, citing alleged violation of telephone harassment statutes.

Guy Micciche filed a complaint on July 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Navient Solutions Inc., alleging that the debt collector contacted the plaintiff on his cellular phone using an automated dialing system.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that since November 2015, he has been called several times on his mobile phone. The plaintiff holds Navient Solutions Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly kept calling the plaintiff on his cellular telephone despite his request to stop calling him.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant, $500 in statutory damages for each violation, $1,500 in treble damages for each violation, injunctive relief, and any further relief thiecourt grants. He is represented by Michael Alan Siddons of The Law Firm of Michael Alan Siddons in Media.
