PHILADELPHIA — A woman is suing the federal government, citing alleged failure to warn, negligence and  insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

Nilda Roque filed a complaint on July 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against United States of America, alleging that the property owner allowed dangerous and defective conditions on its premises.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 8, 2014, she sustained physical injuries, and she holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to replace a worn-out mat within its premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for compensatory damages. She is represented by Keith W. Kofsky and Anthony Lopresti of Clearfield & Kofsky in Philadelphia.
