PHILADELPHIA — An Arkansas man is suing TransUnion LLC and Equifax Information Services LLC, alleging violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Donnie Holifield Sr. filed a complaint on July 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendants reported derogatory and inaccurate statements to third parties regarding his credit history.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he has been denied various loans and extensions of consumer credit as the result of an inaccurate credit history being reported to third parties. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly reporting inaccurate and false information.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Mark D. Mailman, John Soumilas and Geoffrey H. Baskerville of Francis & Mailman in Philadelphia.
