Woman seeks damages from federal government following collision at Dunkin Donuts

PHILADELPHIA — A motorist is suing the federal government and a postal worker, alleging she was injured in a collision in a Dunkin Donuts parking lot.

Gloribel Vazquez filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against postal worker  Samirah Allen Boyd and the United States of America, alleging that Boyd backed a post office vehicle into the plaintiff's car.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 28, 2015, she sustained physical injuries as the result of being involved in a vehicle collision. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible Boyd allegedly operated the post office vehicle in a careless manner.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $75,000 plus court costs and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Marc I. Simon of Simon & Simon, P.C. in Philadelphia.
