Construction company allegedly failed to pay more than $88,000 to glass company

SCRANTON — A glass company has filed suit against a construction group for allegedly failing to pay for labor and materials for a project.

J R Glass Inc. filed a complaint  Aug. 17 in  U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Horizon Construction Group Inc., alleging that the Wisconsin corporation failed to pay the plaintiff for labor and materials they've been provided.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that J R Glass Inc. suffered damages to its business because of unpaid invoices. The plaintiff holds Horizon Construction Group Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly refused to pay the plaintiff despite repeated requests for payment.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $88,003.22 plus continuing interest at the rate of 1 percent per month, continuing penalty charges at the rate of 1 percent per month, court costs and any further relief this grants. It is represented by Nicholas D. Krawec of Bernstein-Burkley P.C. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
