Labor fund says company hasn't paid contributions

PITTSBURGH — A labor fund is suing Bunting Graphics Inc. a/k/a Bunting Inc., an employer, citing alleged breach of contract.

Carpenters Combined Funds Inc., by James R. Klein, administrator, filed a complaint on Aug. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Bunting Graphics, Inc. a/k/a Bunting, Inc. alleging that the employer failed to pay monthly contributions to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has sustained damages from unpaid contributions. The plaintiff holds Bunting Graphics Inc. a/k/a Bunting Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to perform its obligation based on its labor agreement with the plaintiff by failing to pay fringe benefit contributions and wage deductions on behalf of its employees.

The plaintiff seeks a requirement for the defendant to file a complete and accurate remittance reports, money judgment in the sum of $14,880.25 plus liquidated damages, attorneys' fees of 20 percent of total amount due, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Jeffrey J. Leech of Tucker Arensberg, P.C. in Pittsburgh.
