Loan officer alleges BB&T Corp. did not pay overtime, minimum wages

Law money 09

PHILADELPHIA – A loan officer alleges a bank owes him wages.

Jeffrey Kravec filed a complaint on Sept. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against BB&T Corp. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act and the Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Law.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime wages or the regular rate of pay. The plaintiff holds BB&T Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay plaintiff overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half for hours worked that exceeds 40 per week.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for an amount that will be sufficient to compensate plaintiff, all minimum wage and overtime compensation owed to plaintiff, liquidated damages, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by David J. Cohen of Stephan Zouras LLP in Philadelphia.
