PHILADELPHIA -- A woman's lawsuit claims credit reporting agencies breached their duty and violated federal law.

Lisa Myers of Birdsboro filed a complaint on Sept. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against TransUnion LLC, Experian Information Solutions Inc., Equifax Information Services LLC, Midland Funding LLC, Midland Credit Management Inc. and Credit One Financial d/b/a Credit One Bank NA, alleging they reported inaccurate information regarding her credit history.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2016 she suffered damages to her credit score, causing loss of credit and loan opportunities. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to properly investigate and correct inaccuracies regarding her credit score.

Myers requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, punitive damages, an order for the defendant to permanently delete all inaccurate information regarding her credit score and any further relief the court grants.

She is represented by Brent F. Vullings of Vullings Law Group LLC in Collegeville.
