PHILADELPHIA -- A woman who was a business invitee to a couple's premises is suing over allegations that she was injured due to negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.
Leena Nasim filed a complaint on Oct. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Richard Mead and Claire Mead, alleging the property owners didn't inform her of the availability of lighting on basement stairs where she was injured in a fall.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 23, 2014 she sustained physical injuries including a broken leg and fractured rib. The plaintiff holds Richard Mead and Claire Mead responsible because of premises liability.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for compensatory damages.
She is represented by Keith W. Kofsky of Clearfield & Kofsky in Philadelphia.
