Lifeenergy LLC accused of violating telemarketing law

Phone 05

PHILADELPHIA -- A woman has filed a class action lawsuit against Lifeenergy LLC, a Texas company, citing alleged violation of telephone harassment statutes.

Cindy Heffelfinger filed a complaint on Oct. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Lifeenergy LLC, alleging the Texas company made several unsolicited telephone calls to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in July she received several telemarketing calls despite being registered with the National Do Not Call Registry. Heffelfinger holds Lifeenergy LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly continued to call the plaintiff despite her request to stop.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and statutory damages, treble damages, an order for the defendant to cease all unsolicited calls to plaintiff, court costs and any further relief this court grants.

She is represented by Steven L. Woodrow and Patrick H. Peluso of Woodrow & Peluso LLC in Denver and Barry L. Cohen of Barry L. Cohen Esquire in Conshohocken.
