PHILADELPHIA — A woman is suing The Prudential Insurance Company of America, citing alleged breach of contract.

Gina Petrozelli filed a complaint on Oct. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against The Prudential Insurance Company of America, alleging that the insurer improperly denied her claim for disability benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she became disabled due to several medical conditions including arthritis, and was initially receiving benefits until they were terminated. The plaintiff holds The Prudential Insurance Company of America responsible because the defendant allegedly terminated her benefits despite her continuing disability according to the terms of the policy.

The plaintiff seeks full payment of her long-term disability benefits, court costs and interest plus any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Marc H. Snyder of Rosen, Moss, Snyder & Bleefeld, LLP in Jenkintown.
