Life Insurance Company of North America accused of improperly denying man's benefits

Insurance 08

PHILADELPHIA — A man is suing Life Insurance Company of North America, citing alleged breach of contract.

Kevin Heck filed a complaint on Nov. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Life Insurance Company of North America, alleging that the insurer wrongly denied his claim for disability benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2016, he sustained damages from having his application for disability benefits denied. The plaintiff holds Life Insurance Company of North America responsible because the defendant allegedly upheld its decision to deny his disability benefits despite having sufficient medical records to support his claim.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant, reinstatement of the plaintiff's disability benefits plus interest and court costs. He is represented by Kevin L. Orloski of Orloski Law Firm in Allentown.
