Dore & Associates Contracting blamed for worker's injuries

Law money 10

PHILADELPHIA — A man is suing Dore & Associates Contracting Inc., a construction contractor, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

Mark Betzko filed a complaint on Nov. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Dore & Associates Contracting Inc., alleging that he suffered injuries due to the contractor's failure to remove bolts that were sticking out of a cement pad on the floor.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 15, 2014, he suffered physical injuries including injuries to his right shoulder and cervical spine when he tripped on at least one of the bolts while carrying a ladder. The plaintiff holds Dore & Associates Contracting Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide a safe workplace or to warn him regarding the bolts that were sticking out of the floor.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for all damages, plus interest and court costs. He is represented by John J. Speicher of Leisawitz Heller Abramowitch Phillips, P.C. in Wyomissing.
