National Recovery Agency accused of violating telephone law

HARRISBURG — A woman has filed a class action lawsuit against NRA Group LLC, d/b/a National Recovery Agency, citing alleged violation of telephone harassment statutes.

Linda Kennedy filed a complaint on Nov. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against NRA Group LLC, d/b/a National Recovery Agency, alleging that the Pennsylvania company made unsolicited, unwanted calls to the plaintiff's cellular telephone.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2015, she suffered damages due to receiving unwanted calls on her cellular telephone concerning an alleged debt that was not hers. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly using an automatic telephone dialing system to call her cellular telephone.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory, treble, other damages, court costs, and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Shanon J. Carson, Arthur Stock and Lane L. Vines of Berger & Montague, P.C. in Philadelphia.
